At times the dry summer weather can leave the park without reliable water sources especially along The Appalachian Trail, Which was dry for 22 miles in 2008
During times of dry weather always call the park backcountry info line at 1-436-1297
Ask for the A.T. Trail Spring Report & the flow rate is for your shelters
